Natural Healing and Acupuncture
In 2010, Katya joined Natural Healing and Acupuncture in West LA. Her practice focuses on women’s and children’s health, cancer support, pain and stress management, nutritional wellness, and lifestyle balance. As a Primary Care Physician, Katya is comfortable working with other physicians to ensure her patients are getting the best complimentary care. Blending support, strength, and sensitivity, Katya guides patients along a healing journey to help them achieve their highest health potential, naturally.
Katya is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, trained at one of the nation’s leading Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) graduate schools, Yo San University in Los Angeles, California. She received her Master’s degree, with honors, after completing the four-year program lead by Drs. Daoshing and Maoshing Ni, 38th generation practitioners and Qi Gong masters. After graduating from Yo San University, she was awarded a fellowship, and then hired as a faculty member in the University’s community clinic.
Prior to her graduate studies, she received her Bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Comparative Religion and Russian Language and Literature.
Katya completed a portion of her residency program in Chengdu, China, where she worked in two of Sichuan’s leading hospitals with focuses on TCM gynecology/reproductive medicine and integrative oncology. Katya drew from her training in China during her subsequent experience at Premiere Oncology Foundation in Santa Monica, where she worked in an integrative East-West medical setting. There, cancer patients received acupuncture and herbal therapy supplementing their traditional cancer treatments with great results.
Katya honed her pediatric treatment skills and deepened her appreciation of integrative medicine at the prestigious Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles. As part of the Pediatric Pain Management and Palliative Care team, she treated chronic, recurrent and long-standing pain as well as post-surgical pain management.
Katya’s clinical training has also included positions at Venice Family & Pain Management Clinic, Being Alive HIV Clinic in West Hollywood, and the Yo San Community Clinic.
Currently, Katya lives and works in Los Angeles with her husband and their two daughters. When she is not working, she can be found volunteering at her toddler’s preschool or enjoying her toddler’s giggle at parks around town.
